~ Basic World Information ~

All of our ocs take place on the setting of Gunsmoke- the planet in the world of Trigun. All of this began as us making silly characters for that manga because we loved the world so much- and now it has mostly developed in our own thing. If you have never seen Trigun, I will give you basically all the information you need in order to interact with our characters:  

  • Everyone lives on a planet called Gunsmoke; this planet exists in a galaxy far away from Earth and is composed of just desert and this alien species called "Worms", which can take different shapes. Mostly they look like mosquitos, but they can be massive actually worm creatures too. Any other animals such as dogs and cats were brought over by humans on the spaceships- Called SEED Ships- they arrived on. Alongside Worms, there are also one other form of life native to Gunsmoke: Thomas. Thomases are big bird creatures that people ride like horses (think of an ostrich with a much longer face).

  • Over 100 years ago there was a "fall", deemed the Great Fall, where the people that were aboard the SEED Ships crash-landed on the planet of Gunsmoke unintentionally. Millions died. Humanity's stay on Gunsmoke was not intended- they were on their way to a planet that could house life easily after Earth was destroyed by pollution. Now, they are flailing to figure out how to live on this wasteland of a planet that was not intended to house creatures like humans, entirely unable to leave due to their ships' crashing.

  • Now humanity survives with the broken pieces of sci-fi space technology and in a wild-west type setting. Towns have been built all around, and humanity mostly survives off of energy resources that they brought with them on their old ships called Plants; these are holy looking beings that exist in tubes that humanity sucks energy and resources from. The Plants produce things such as energy, water, food, meat, and anything else humans might need- there are even ones deemed Geoplants, where actual grass and fauna can grow. There are, however, limited numbers of Plants. Typically, there are a few found in towns or owned by rich folk.

  • Plants are usually dependent creatures that live in tubes; however, some exist that are called "Independent Plants," which are plants that can walk, talk, and mingle with humans. They are typically produced from normal plants asexually. They appear more human than their mothers, though. Not many exist, and the ones that do are usually hidden or hunted down by the Eye of Michael.

  • There is a group of people referred to as the "Eye of Michael" (or EOM or the Eye) that worship Plants. They are like Catholicism but if it was towards Plants. They also happen to train soldiers/assassins to work for them. Basically, think of the EOM as being composed of two sectors: one is training people to become weapons that listen to every command and are unstoppable killing machines. The other sector is dedicated to experimenting on people. Both of these sectors often collide: soldiers are experimented on to be given increased stamina and ability in order to become ultimate soldiers/weapons for the Eye.
