~ The Fraziers and Owens ~

The Fraziers consist of Alexandros Frazier and Leah Frazier, alongside their child, Chester Frazier

The Owens consist of Flynn Owens and his daughter, Blythe Owens.

These two families are being grouped together on account of their connection, Leah, who affected both.

The Fraziers

Alexandros and Leah met shortly after Leah moved to the town of Little Enora, a town that was devoted to and controlled by the Eye of Michael; the EOM regularly took members from this town as soldiers, and had churches in place that many of the townsfolk worshipped at. Leah was no exception: vulnerable and unhappy with her life after what had previously transpired between her and Flynn, she devoted herself to the church in an effort to take some control back over her life.

Alexandros was a very personable man who, despite Leah's serious demeanor at the time, really liked her. A night together led to the creation of Chester and their engagement, though Leah was very emotionally absent from the marriage. Alex had a way of tugging personality out of her, something he found addicting, but things were still rough for the woman: she was obviously traumatized by something in the past.

The Owens

Flynn was a goofy scrapper who met Leah while he was in a trade-school. He loved architecture and sculpting- something Alexandros had in common- and was very fond/in love with Leah, despite everything that happened between them. He still worries about her to this day.

Despite having never intended on being a father, he was a very good one to his daughter, Blythe.

History

Leah and Flynn, as previously mentioned, met while Flynn was in trade-school. Leah was a very personable girl at the time, though she had very traditional values on what her life should be: she was convinced that she had to follow the structure of a nuclear family in order to be happy, despite subconsciously not being sure if that is what she truly wanted. So, when Flynn picked up an interest in her and anxioiusly, pretty cutely, asked her out, Leah agreed to it. Flynn seemed lovely, after all.

Her feelings for Flynn waned overtime: initially, Leah felt interest in him, but these grew more complicated as time went on. Leah never truly fell in love with Flynn- though she did care for him- but despite this, Leah forced herself into this relationship since Flynn was a good guy and she thought she needed that nuclear dynamic in order to be happy. In her mind, it would eventually just click and "work out". If she was to be stuck with anyone, anyways, then her best choice was Flynn, who genuinely was in love with her and cared about her.

Leah followed bullet-points that she thought she needed: they went on dates, let their relationship grow, and kept it all by the book, something that both was endearing to Flynn and confused him a bit. Especially since the relationship started moving at a faster pace as Leah was becomming desperate to make it click. If they reached that married, family stage, then it would all make sense and work out, right? Right...

Leah wound up pushing them both into marriage- the two of them married within the year. And, the night of their honeymoon... Leah was not entirely sure she even wanted to go through with the duties she'd placed on herself. Hell, Flynn would've been okay if she had said she didn't want to "perform". Yet, Leah forced herself to, resulting in something that left her jittery and... mentally hurt. It did not help that this night is what led to the creation of Blythe.

This is what really started to break Leah. She absolutely was not ready for the burden of pregnancy, nor this role of "perfect, 90s wife" that she had created and idolized in her head. Leah had pushed herself into these roles that she subconsciously did not even want nor was ever ready for. Her mental health began to seriously decline after that- something that Flynn took notice of. Despite his attempts to get her to open up and tell him what was wrong though, Leah put on a smile and assured him she was fine. She did that very often: she had a tendency to smack a smile on over it and claim she was okay.

The act of birthing Blythe sealed the deal. Mentally, she was not ready for the traumatizing act of birthing another person, and it cracked something in her that was never going to be repaired.

A year after Blythe is when she finally snapped, though. Leah broke down under the amount of pressure and trauma she had put herself through and, for the first time, cried into Flynn, whispering that she "can't do this anymore." That next morning, Flynn found that she was gone: only her wedding ring was left behind, a symbolic divorce. She left he and Blythe alone.

Leah spent time on her own, then. She was vulnerable and alone, when she stumbled upon the town of Little Enora. Here, she was taken in by a woman named Neha, who offered her sanctuary and safety. The two befriended one another, before Leah was introduced to the church there. Neha didn't worship, but the church did grab Leah's interest. Desperate for a sense of control in her life, she began devoting herself to it. It would be amazing if a higher power would come and fix everything for her, right? Leah dedicated herself to the church from here.

This is when she meets Alexandros. Leah was far more serious and closed-off this time, but Alexandros loved her regardless. That, and he managed to tug a little of her old self out, enough that Leah gave in and let him sweep her away. She only slept with him once- which resulted in Chester. The two did marry after that since she needed help with Chester, though this time, she did not pretend to be a perfect housewife like how she had with Flynn. Hell, she was still traumatized after her last pregnancy- something that was cracked back open with the birth of Chester. Leah had frequent dissasociative epsidoes and zoning-out problems, things that Alexandros tried to help her through.

Chester from a young age acted a lot like Leah used to- which was not helped by how the child resembled Leah a lot too. Leah came to resent her own child because of this: all her child was was a reminder of what she once had and was, of all the things she has lost, and how she will never be that free again. Leah was emotionally distant from Chester, resenting her quite a bit. It did not help that Chester was very sickly: it felt like the universe was just rubbing it in, at that point.

So, when the church came to her and said that to keep everyone safe, they would sacrifice Chester to the EOM, much like they had other children- Leah... did not put up a fight. She was okay with them taking her child.

Her and Alexandros obviously fought about this. He loved both of them, but how could she sacrifice their own kid-? Even with Leah explaining that it was for the good of the town, for the good of the Lord, Alexandros would not accept it. He loved Leah, truly, but... this wasn't something he was going to be okay with. That night, he took Chester and he left. This time, Leah was the one left behind.

Despite what Leah did, Alexandros does still care for the woman: there's a layer of grief to seeing the woman he loved so bitter and unhappy with her life, so utterly hurt that she would willingly sacrifice their daughter: he thinks a lot about what he could have done differently. If he could have done something that would have 'saved' her. Chester unintentionally picks up on this as she grows up.

Leah remained in Little Enora after that, alone and only a shell that worships. She simply existed, reahing for some meager sense of fullfillment in religion since her life went so wrong for her. She survives in this state until an attack on the town from Eye of Michael Member Revelation (Neha's child) led to her and the rest of the town's death.
